Well, my when came yesterday. 35 MPH down State road 13 when an young lady in a Chevy pick up truck decides to make a left turn into a drive way righ in front of me. I couldnt go right or I would have hit a 10 foot high brick wall, couldnt go left or I would have ran into on-coming traffic.
No choice, locked it up and hit her dead center head on.
Did a real nice end over end flip over the windshield and landed on my back on the roof of her truck, bounced off and hit the road beside her.
Well....when I realized that I was still alive, and before the pain set in I was on my feet going ballistic on her. She started crying and said "I'm so sorry, I didnt see you" Duh!
Anyway...long story short, transported to the hospital, x-rays and CAT scan and 8 hours later I have 2 broken ribs, pretty banged up lower left leg and numerous cuts and bruises.
Bike is a mess but fixable, I think. All the damage to the front fender, fairing and forks. Damn....she only had 1900 mile on her.
But, I ramble on....Probably the pain meds I'm on.
Damn lucky I'm sure...Someone was looking out for me yesterday.
Just thought I'd share.
Jim
