Default 06 1200L just died on the road!!!!

Well..........on the way ta work......there she blows..............cruisin at normal speed the spittin and sputterin started and she just stalled to a halt........thank god I just got off the 3 lane and was on the 2!!!!.......After havin a smoke and callin in late, pulled the plugs (just to check), and shake the bike for fuel (der).......and tried to refire........NOTHING..............let it sit for another 10 min or so and then it fired like nuthin was wrong.......rode another 1/2 mile and same thing happened.....thank god I was by the ol lady's job............Ibougt the bike used from dealer with only 2200 miles and have no clue if stage 1 or anything was done so as a new sporty owner I just trailered it up and headed to dealer..............all the bro's here are scratchin heads and laughin quietly---LOL but wanna know WTF....................any others seen or have this prob? It is under warranty and will be taken care of, just wanna another person's 2 cents!!!

as a follow up to original post............the bike only has 2900 miles on it since it was bought with 2200...............rode 130 miles the day before with no incident.......................running 93 octane.....................clarification...

It's probably that great EFI we've been hearing about is so much better than carbs and whatnot.

It's carb'd..................I didnt do any roadside repairs due to warranty in place........I thought maybe wanna the jets fell out!!---LOL
I aint gotta clue........if this was an ol flatty or pan, it'd be done did by now..............this is my first newer bike in some 17 years so I'm gonna see what the mech's gotta say...................its a new game now.........but any input for the ol data bank would help!

I would guess it is a ignition system problem.Were you getting a spark? Could be a bad ignition module.

That sucks! I had about 750 miles on mine when it did that to me. Was hot as hell outside and I pumped gas in fast and then wason a bumpy road. Best anyone can figure is that I got a vapor lock of some sort. 7,000 miles later, ithas never happened again. Hope it is something simple. Keep us posted!

Ooooookay, well, then it's probably that great electronic ignition we keep hearing about is so great, ahem (which is at times, actually).

Geez, I thought the EFI crap started in 2006... If it's the carb, well, then at least it's getting great gas mileage right now ... and at least it will be easy to fix, and cheaper, too... maybe it's the petcock thing, those do have some problems, seriously...
