Default POLYURETHANE BUSHINGS

I BOUGHT APES AND WAS WONDERING WHAT DIFFERENCE THESE BUSHINGS WILL HAVE COMPARED TO THE STOCK BUSHINGS. IS IT A LITTLE MORE STIFF?

yes. The stock ones tend to flex more. Genral consensus among ape riders to to replace with poly... specially if you are putting tall apes on

I feel like there's too much flex with my stock bars. Where's a good place to get the polyurethane bushings?

my local HD dealer carry's upgrades. I think they have them from Drag Specialties. There are probably a sh!tload of options out there. Drag Specialties is a good name to go with.

got mine off ebay, custom chrome... <$20 delivered, and they worked GREAT with my 16" apes. Harley stock rubber bushings can't handle the add'l weight of the bigger bars.

For a Dyna, either CC or Drag Specialties will have them. I replaced my stock bushings with the poly ones and it is like my handlebars are welded to the trees now - much better. If you call Hale's H-D, they give 20% on all Drag Specialties orders as well as H-D stuff.

It's a cheap upgrade. I think I paid 9.99 from my dealer for some drag specialties. You need a torque wrench to get it just right.

I WAS LOOKING AT MY STOCK ONES WHEN I MOUNTEDMY APES(JUST TO CHECK THEM OUT) I NOTICED THE THE BARS WERENT PARALLEL WITH THE TREES AS IF MAYBE ONE OF THE BUSHINGS ISNT AS TIGHT AS THE OTHER AND ITS TWISTED. IS THIS POSSIBLE IF THEY ARE NOT TORQUED AT THE SAME IN/LBS OR FT/LBS OR W/E IT IS?
