Has anyone installed the crome wind deflectors that attach to the fork brackets? I am curious if they work at all. Also if anyone has some pictures so I can get an idea of how they look that would be great.
I have them, and they work great. Between them and the deflector that goes between the forks, you will cut down the wind a significant amount. A godsend in the winter, but I take the deflectors off during the summer as they block to much wind. I also think they keep some air off the motor, so not so good for the summer, but no problem in the winter.
If you have lowers on, at full lock, they will just touch and you need to do some creative bending.
Yes, I installed a set last weekend. They keep the air from coming up under the fairing. The only problem I have is I can`t keep them from rubbing the paint on my lowers when I turn hard . I gave up after 2 hrs. I moved everything but the tour pack. Anyone have suggestions?? My lowers have never been off the bike since new and there is no place for them to go. Dan.
When I put them on my Ultra I take the lowers off. They work better than the lowers for keeping the updraft off the rider. I like the look of the lowers though, so the chrome deflectors will sit on the bench for the winter. I think the lowers will keep my legs warmer in the winter. Here in Nor Cal I get to ride year round, but sometimes it does get a little chilly.

I run them on my '76 Shovel, and LOVE them! Before putting themon I had a bunch of wind coming up my chest and trying to pull my helmet off. That made for a sore neck on long rides. After installing themthe wind is morelike riding in a convertible car.
I have them on my 00 Classic and keep them on all the time. They are the best thing for calming the buffeting that results from wind coming up under the fairing.
I tried 'em this summer and took them off after one ride. The engine will cook you and your passenger medium well in short order. I might try them again this winter.
Hi from up here in Ontario Canada where it is about to get a mite chilly. I too have been looking at these chrome wind deflectors for the forks but I have an 07 Street Glide and it was suggested to me by the dealer that the fork deflectors wouldn't fit properly. Anyone have them on an 07 FLHX? Do they mount and function properly?
I have the chrome deflector between the forks and Kuryakyn Dragon Wings on the fairing and a 6 1/2 inch windshield and theyall work nicely but I need to shut off the wind that comes up my leg and under the helmet.
