Cold weather has limited riding time the past couple weekends so gave me some time to do some mods.
Yesterday, I changed out my Bob mini-apes to a pair of Flanders of the same specs. These are 1" and drilled. Burying the wiring was a little tight in the 1", but turned out good. I am pleased with how the bar areacleaned up and looks with the digital speedo.
Took advantage of this time to move my front signals to the trees. Use the method outlined in Mud's budget mods thread.
I have chrome hand controls (master cylinder and clutch perch) and chrome switches coming tomorrow.
Last weekend, I installed a pair of calipers from a Screamin Eagle Dyna and a pair of EBC brake pads.I posted a couple dark pictures before. Here they are in the sunlight.
I'll get more pics when the hand controls are on. Cables and line will be next.
Looks good. Could you post a closeup of your front turn signals. I am about to try that mod on mine. Any issues?
Getting the connectors for the handle switches out of the frame recess was a bitch. Once they were out, the signal connectors were easy to get out. I did some work on the harnesses while I was in there to clean up what I had done with the speedo wiring. I tried to stash the excess wire from the signals, but it was just too tight. I ended up shortening them and soldering the wiring back together. Made it much easier to get the wiring back in place in the frame. The actual mounting of the signals was nothing.
Nice! Did the same mod Thanks to Beefy for the idea!
Easy mod, functional and looks great.
Getting up in the 40's soon here in Chitown and would like to ride but the salt on the roads is keeping me from it. Damm, A little less than 2 months and counting.
