i had my 06 dyna dynoed today it made 88h.p. 95trq. i used s.e.204s, 10.25 pistons ,ccp is 210 front 205 rear. rush 2.0 slipons,pc111, fuelmoto map, a.f.r. is 13.5 to 13.8. tuner made 3 pulls and said he cant get any more out of it the map was close enough . any opinions?? i also used stock heads for now.
Go to the forum issues spot, it explains how to do it. Your results are about the same as mine, I got 87hp, and 93tq on a 90+ degree day with almost the same build, I just cut a little off the domes and used andrews 37h cams which are close to identical. great #s
didnt install comp. releases .going to by a extra set of heads from ebay and have them ported and releases installed .waiting for george bush rebate.mike at latus motors said 257 cams would work better with these pistons also.

You will dig the head work! and the compresion releases after there done.
I would look elsewhere than SE for your next cam!
2 questions. whats the most h.p. trq. has anybody seen out of stock 06 heads. why the defferrent lift #s on the .575 firestorms?? are they midrange cams or more for upper rpm range??
88hp is a lot on a 95" with stock heads...the hq 575 firestorm will not fit your bike you need the firebrand...and it's definitely a midrange cam...hq uses less lift and more duration on the exhaust valve because flow at low lift on the exhaust is more important for making torque...for a light bike I like longer duration cams than the 575...hq 600 works well withhq headwork
Yes, the the HQ cams are a split lift and duration cam.
These are usually more expensive, but offer a broader power band.
I have a light bike but, with the 91 oct fuel I have to use the 10 to 1 comp, and the Firestorm cams are a great match.
I feel that the broader the power range is the funner the ride!
the .575s pull quick to 5K and the power comes on hard after 2K rpm (which is what I love most about this combo).
there are a couple of other cams that can come very close to matching theses cams for power, so you do have a choice, I just feel that I got what I paid for. and good value for my $$$
