has anyone used the screaming eagle wide tire kit for 06 dyna sg? im needing a new tire and i thought about the wide tire kit from hd.. is it wider than the stock tire ..

 

just ordered the tire today.
it is my understanding that all the kit does is change where your wiring is ran for turn signals.
you can do that part yourself.
Zanotti has the tire for $185 after shipping. great price!
I'll get some pics and info up as soon asI install it.

 

im going to need a back tire before spring and was trying to get a jump on a tire ...

Just order the 180 tire...you don't need the wide tire kit...i just ordered a 180 i liked and had it mounted...done.

good place to get tires is southwest moto just type it in a google search.

 

Not sure the kit is necessary. I have tire on my bike (below)- the tire looks good but it sure doesn't wear well. I'm pretty hard on tires and can't get more than 7K out of Metzlers 880's on my RoadKing. I doubt I'll get 5K out of the SE tire on my Dyna. Just my experience.

 

well i was looking to go with a wider tire but i've read where a 190 might give problems and i dont really want to mod anything on my back fender..thats why i thought the wide tire kit would be a good choice but i do want to do better than 5k miles on a tire...

thanks guys for the info.. now i just need to figure do i need the kit or just the 180 tire..i might go with kit and get a indy to put it on and make sure the kit is installed so i wont have to worry about the wires
