A friend of mine recently upgraded the speakers on his Ultra Classic to the J&M versions. They made a noticable difference in sound, much more crisp and clear. The only thing is, he does have the amp on his bike which I'm sure didn't hurt, but my impression was that even without the amp, it would have been an improvement, maybe just not as dramatic an improvement.
I just looked at J&M's web site (www.jmcorp.com) and they didn't specifically list the Street Glide, only the Electra Glide, Ultra Classic, and Road Glide but just on looks alone, I would think that speakers that would fit the Electra Glide would work for the Street Glide but I'd certainly confirm that with J&M before ordering them.
I've heard good things about Hogtunes.
Is it as easy as plug and play or is there something else I should know?
I can $pend a 100 but don't want to spend on amplifier
I am not sure about the amp but do a search because this has been posted 2,436,174,846 times
Just messing with ya! I love my Hogtunes, service speaks loud and Pez will stand behind his stuff! [sm=smiley20.gif]
anything will sound better than stock speakers.
what is your budget? under $80? jbl or infinity.
between $100 and $6k talk to glideman for a full range of options. i think he has tried a few.
Just replaced my stock speakers with Hogtunes. I can turn them up andhear them over my pipes, and I don't get the distortion like I did with the stock speakers. My husband and I did the changeover on both of our bikes in less then 30 minutes. Really easy and it is plug and play. If you do a search there's a guy here on the forum that did a step-by-step fairing removal post with pictures if you haven't removed your fairing before. That was a huge help since we hadn't done that before. Next sound addition for me: Tweeters!!!
