Just got back from the dealer with all of the parts that were on back order to do my handle bar swap. I noticed that Raj has got his bike up and back together. I hope to start on mine before the weekend. The weather in the ATL is starting to get right for riding so I want to get this done quick.
I will post some before and after picks once I am done. How dow you like the ride with the new bars Raj?
To be honest I am not sure. The reason for this is that one of the parts specialist at the dealer had just done the swap on his 05 1200 roadster. He was very helpful in that he had done all of the reserch on the correct parts and gave me a few handy tips to try that worked for him. I will pass along the part numbers as soon as I can verfy that everythig is correct. ( don't want to pass along any bad info. according to my parts guy it was a pretty easy job.
The bike that I have is a 04 1200C. I have added a long list of add on's and the bike is really starting to come together.
This may not answer your question BUTT
I have an 04 1200 Custom
Changed over to the HD Mini Apes [ about $55.00]
All the cables and Wires fit and or can be re-routed to fit nice.
The only change is the front brake line
Throttle cables will have to be moved to "OUTSIDE" the Forks
Wires can be stretched. There is some slack under the Tank
Clutch cable just makes it and works Fine.
