I have a 05 eletra glide claassic. My motor mount broke. I had a new one put on at the dealer. It is supposed to upgraded. But now the bike shakes more at an idle then it did before. They say the new mount is a harder rubber. Because the older mounts were softer they were breaking. All imput greatly apprecaiated. \\; Thanks. \\; Bob.

Do you know which part number of mount they used?
RE: New motor mount now the bike shakes a lot at idle
Hi, Ram The part # for the motor mount is.  \\; \\; 16207-79D. I called a couple more dealers. And most people are not happy with the new mounts. Even the dealers said yes they do vibrate a little more at and idle than the old mount. Imagine that dealers fessing up. \\; LOL.

The new redesigned mount is terrible. Replace it with the Buell part #L0501.2. \\; This is the exact same mount that \\; came on the 06 &\\; older touring models. \\; maybe it wont last as long as the new one with that rock hard rubber but at least your fillings will stay in place. \\; It is especially annoying when holding the front brake. \\; Its an easy 30 minute job to replace it.

I heard that the Buell mount is exactly the same as the 79D mount, anyone know for sure?
 \\;\\\\\\;
Well, some folks may have implied that, but I've been suckered into the Buell mount. \\;\\\\\\; Its in an nice solid white bag with Buell logo and part number L0501.2 but when opened the bag \\;\\\\\\;it was EXACTLY the same part which was on my 06 RK and gone bad in less then 10K miles!  \\;And that Buell mount that I'd received was not the 79D nor what was on my bike, which was stamped 79B\\\\\\;
