I wanted to post this because of the lack of video/sound clips on BCT baffles. Surprisingly, my Big City Thunder baffles came in early, which took only two business days. First part of clip shows the stock SEII and then with the BCT baffles. These were taken in my garage (echo) and were cold starts, so they did sound differently after warm up. It was definitely louder with more presence, and it did roar when I opened it up. Hope this helps out everyone who is interested in BCT baffles.
Definitely sounds better. Maybe I should do some research on these. I don't really know much about them. They just fit inside the SEIIs?
They said you can just slip out stock baffles, but I had to remove the mufflers and tap it from the other side and it just slid off, other than that, it was pretty easy. Also I did notice my low end torque come back.
Thanks whiff, you're video helped me alot and I hope this will help others as well!
If you don't mind..what did they set you back? Also, do you have the stage 1 (a/c and download)? So basically the install wasn't too difficult. What's involved with removing the mufflers? Sorry about all the questions...I'm just really interested after hearing your video. It's a little hard to hear anything from an online video file, but there's definitely a difference when listening to yours. Are the BCTs really loud, or just a little bit more robust than the SEIIs
Thanks again man.
To my riding buddies, yes, it's loud. I say about 15 to 20 percent louder than stock SEII, more when you gun it. Cost me $129.00 plus priority shipping ($14.00), which was what I requested thats why it only took 2 days. I do have the Stage 1 and download. Remove two bolts at the end of the SEIIs and pop out stock baffles and slid in new.
The difference is apparent when you run the stock SEII and the BCT side by side. My SEII's sounds like a wimp in comparison especially when my buddy gets on the throttle with his modded SEII's. Money well spend.
you dont have to remap for different baffles do you???
No, according to the folks at BCT. I rode today and the bike runs great. This is just the second time with the BCT baffles and I am really liking it. It's actual pretty loud and I can now compete with the big boys out there with their pipes.
