Default Rush Pipes (slip-on's)

Any one ever heard of these? Had some SEII's on hold but now the dealer says all she has left is the Rush pipes for my Deluxe (somehow mine got away). The dealer is getting out of the exhaust business and won't order any more of anything related to exhaust. Bike is at the shop as I write this. Thanks in advance.

Our dealer is stopping with the pipes too,....I was asking about some drag pipes saturday, and he said all we can sell is what we have left. I think all the ligit Harley Dealerships are having to get away from "off-road/non-street/non-epa compliant" pipes.

I consider myself an expert on RUSH mufflers - talked to the manufacturer and MOCO many times about these - my MPG dropped from 42 to around 32 after these and a SE AC and PCIII - going in for a dyno this Friday hopefully to fix that.

BUT as far as the mufflers go, I started with the 2.0 baffles - very TAME - MUCH MUCH better than stock setup though. Even the wife liked that new sound.

BUT I needed more - just didn't have that "bark" or thump thump. Still sounded like a Honda.

Went to 2.5" baffles (it is a whole other email about changing baffles - email me when/if you get to this point - many tips).

THE 2.5" BAFFLES TURN HEADS - AWESOME SOUND - LOVE IT - LOUD BUT NOT OBNOXIOUS - JUST RIGHT - MAKES MY 05 ULTRA A MEAN MACHINE

Usually get comments like "what a barker" - "is that legal" - "did you change your pipes" - "killer sound" - "how did you do that". "the windows rattle (wife)" NO WAY are they tinny.

From my experience, I highly recommend going with the 2.5" immediately. They are not too loud - I can still use/hear my radio in the city or on the hiway.

Only caveat - wife does not like 'em - and says I am going deaf That's OK, I'll just get a hearing aid!!!

Hope this helps - email me direct at dchoran@athenet.net

Had them on my Road King Custom and when I got this 06 FLHTCI I put them on it. I have the 1.75 baffle. Had one that turned color on me when they were on the Custom but the manufacture replaced it. I think the Custom was on the lean side. Had em on this bike a couple of thousand miles before I bought a TFI.

Thanks all, the Rush slip on's sound pretty good. I appreciate everyone's input. Just wondering how many neighbors I'll awake at 5 am when I leave the house? [:-]

I just put the 2" on my 06 FLHT along with V&H Dresser Duals. Great sound !!! The bigger the baffle the more sound. So far I like the 2" that I have.
