DTC P0134
I have a 2006 Wide Glide with 9100 miles. It runs fine, but when I go on the freeway I get the check engine light. I do not get it when I go around town, only when in 5th or 6th gear. The code is PO134 "Front O2 sensor open/not responding".
If the front O2 sensor was bad, woudn't it be bad all the time? Why would the DTC only show up in higher gears.
Thanks in advance,
malcolm
The O2 sensors will only throw a no response type code after the ecm sees improper activity for over 1 minute at 50 kpa engine load. In reality, you could completely disconnect your 02 sensor and let the bike idle and the parameters would not be met to set a code. THere could also be a concern with the integrity of the connection of the sensor to the harness.
