Wow, I can't believe nobody around here has these pipes on their bike. I spent a lotta time searching around in the galleries and I haven't seen any yet.
I like those, and the crack pipes. Isn't the 'black' parts ceramic coated? If so, those would hold up well. Maybe it's cuz the yaffe pipes did not have O2 sensor mounts, but otherwise dunno
A friend of a friend contacted the owner of the bike I posted in the first post. This was his review of the X-Pipes.
I really enjoyed the pipes, the way they looked and the sound was awesome but I can't say anything about performance. I know they don't perform as well as my pro pipes but that's a given and I have no Dyno results to see numbers. I put them on myself, it was easy.
I have two complaints with them and I have taken them off at this point. One is they sit very high on the bike and thus they will cook your right thigh at stop lights, not a bad thing in the winter but summer was too much so I yanked em. The other was the finish. They didn't hold up so well in that regard though, I bought mine off of Ebay so I do not know if they had the factory ceramic finish on them for sure.
My brother just bought an 03 night train with a set of ceramic crack pipes on it and he says he loves them. I feel the same way. I am looking for a set of crack pipes to put on my 01 train. If the pipes are ceramic they will last a very long time but if they have been powder coated im not for sure how they will hold up. So if you know were there is a set of ceramic crack pipes for sale please let me know. thanks
