Default 21X2.15 to 21X3.5? will it work?

Hey all...
I have a 2006 fxstbi night train...
my front rim is 21X2.15...
I want a thicker wheel....my thoughts are to put a 21X3.5 rim...
will this work on my bike without major mods?? I think I might have to just change thespacers, right?
what size tire recommendations?
anyway.. I already did a search...on the threads...but most were about tire sizes ect...[sm=boink3.gif]
thanks,
1badnt

go down to the "do it yourself" forums on this site
check under the "chassis / suspension / " etc category
go to the harley wheel rim sizes thread.

When you get the new rim, it is built to the stock hub width. You don't need new spacers for the Train. What tire are you planning on running? The 120mm doesn't fit well with the stock fender - just FYI. I wouldn't run narrower than the 120 on a 3.5" wheel.

I went from a 2.15 to a 3.25 on my 06 Wide Glide when I installed new wheels. It fits under the stock fender and in my opinion, looks great. It also handles much better.

I went to a 130-70-21 front tire with a Renegade front wheel.. Had to change to wider front fender, everything else ok and yes it does handle better.
