For those who have gone this route, please share Ideas on how to keep wiring off the fender, I'm getting a new fender and would like to keep It scuff free.

I wrapped my wiring in a terrycloth towel and secured it with a couple zip ties. I don't have quick detach, but if I ever do and want to run a solo seat I want my fender to be unscuffed.

Can't find the post but last year there was some photos posted showing how to use part of the stock (fixed) rack to do this. Basically you take the fixed rack and cut off the forward end (6-8") and bolt it up under the detachable rack. This keeps the oem wire clips in place to nothing hangs on the fender.

I just installed the detach kit on my 15 Limited and I noticed the first time i put the tour pak back on i thought that the wiring was going to be a problem rubbing the fender. So after a short ride i took the tour pak back off and sure enough i could see where the plugs were touching the fender so I cut a piece of soft packing foam so that it would wedge down between the seat and the pak and keep the wires and plugs from touching the fender. Seems to be working, so far.

Our 15 Limited Low has detachable tour pack which I haven't removed yet but I think I will hide all the wiring under the seat and in the side covers, but I did notice the plastic plate keeps the wires off the fender was removed in order to install new hardware kit so I wrapped the whole harness in AC pipe foam insulation and it fits tight between the seat and tour pack away from the fender.

I have mine so I can take it and route it around the outside of the battery area under the seat with the tour pack off.
When it's on I use several tie bands and small adhesive anchors to hold it in place. I'll try to get some pictures when I take it off in the next few days.

I wrap my wiring in one of those soft buffing rags and hold it on with Velcro wraps.

I didn't think of this until after my first ride after installing the T/P Q/D. I now have a small scuff mark in the clearcoat that I will take care of one of these days...

I put a piece of protective film down on the fender. I also have the wires velcroed to the bottom of the tour pak.

Could you take pics of this? Also what type of film did you use?
