[QUOTE=sixshooter;13612407]Thanks. I'm at the dealer now, they have two in stock. They aren't any longer than the factory tbw but at least that damn green switch is gone. On a side note, what are the two black and white wires for in the separate 2 pin connector coming from the throttle? The schematic call out says the white wire is "P&A power" and the black is

"ground."[/QUOT

The black and white is for heated grips, im using mine on Vindiktas, love the heated grips

I figured that's what they're for. I'm going to solder and shrink wrap extensions on them since if I don't, the pins will be buried in the bars. Just in case I do heated grips later. This is turning out to be quite a project.

Figured I'd put a little list up here for anyone using the CVO tbw assembly on their SGS. You need the following:

32310-08 - twist grip sensor kit (cvo throttle)
72414-07BK - housing, 6 way (molex socket)
72168-07 x 6 - socket pins for the molex connector

I also got new white connectors for up in my control housing since mine were pretty beat up.

69200305 - 2 pin connector
69200306 - 4 pin connector

Hope this helps someone in the future.

Did you just cut off the male pins and crimp on the female pins?

For the TBW, yes, that's what you have to do. No idea why they are pinned different.

Yes, and if you have an sure seal connector tool, it works perfectly for crimping the sockets onto the tiny wire. I'm sure you could get by with regular crimpers, but it helps to have the ones I mentioned.

I was told at the dealership, the 13-older bikes were direct plug and play, but the connectors flipped sides for 14-up and the CVO harness never changed with it.

I just did my 12" MBB on a 2015 SGS. In complete honesty I didn't have half the problems running the wires through the bars that I read about on here. I ran the wires dry, didn't cut the factory sheathing off, and left the green TBW connector intact. I had a slight issue pulling the right side control wires out the bottom with the TBW in place, but a little wiggling around solved all that.

I'm not bragging or calling BS on anyone that has had problems, just sharing my experience. I got the wires through and at no time did I feel anything get hung up to the point where I thought I was doing damage to the wires inside the bars. I'm just a rider who likes to work on his bike and I have done bars twice on my Night Train. One set of Carlini Gangsters and the other was a set of Carlini Clean sweep drag bars.

I'll say this; I ran the wires and had to stop there because of work and family schedule so I haven't plugged them in to check if everything works yet but I feel confident it will. I'll be going home tonight to test everything and will post my results.

UPDATE:

Got the bars mounted, bike fired up just fine and everything works. I don't think I'm going to be able to get away with the stock clutch and brake cable though. No matter how I run them, they're too tight.

Any advice on this?
