Same here. I have no idea what it is. I have checked everything I can think of to no avail.

Not sure about the Street Glides since they have passenger "pegs", but my passenger footboards make a little racket also when they're folded up and I'm solo. But with the wife on, the noise goes away. And I do think there is some noise from the front forks as well.

Rear brake pads have a tendency to rattle on bumps when the rear brake isn't applied. Found it on mine by tapping the rear tire with a rubber mallet. Brake applied, doesn't make a peep. Fixed mine with some disc brake quiet.

I've had the same noise since day 1. I thought they forgot to tighten something in the front end. My brother rode it for 3 miles on the first day, turned around and said something is making a noise in the front end. I wouldn't say I feel anything in the floorboard though. Just an obvious clunk from the front.

I have always blamed it on the kickstand?

I have a clunking noise coming from the right rear someplace. I took it to the dealer. They said it was the strut contacting the fender and put some rubber padding between the two and said its fixed. I call bs cause I still hear it and it pisses me off.

If it truly is in the headstock and appears to sound like it is almost on the rebound rather then when you first hit the bump. Then check the fallaway or torque on the head stock bearings called out in the service manual. What is crazy is I have found it to be opposite of what you think you should do. If the fallaway is in the upper range, set it to the minimum. Those tapered roller bearing do not like to be preloaded tight.

The clunking is the Saddlebag support brackets moving in and out. They rest under the seat and have no screws or bolts to hold them when they flex. Try pressing your hands on the bracket when you hear the noise and it goes away.......

It's the HD secret. You hear and feel the clunk and go to the dealer. While they're looking at it, you buy more accessories.
