I came off this 2010 SG and I was one of I don't like the wet head group as well until I rode one. And my friends ask if you could get your ole bike back would you and I say No Way. I love this bike better than any I've had. It's the smoothest and most comfortable bike I've every been on.
I went from this to this and don't regret it at all.
i'm still not a huge fan of the looks of my ultra, but that will all change with time and a crapload of money. hahaha. but i do agree that it's the most comfortable bike i've ever owned. sadly, stock bars and seat just don't cut it as far as comfort goes, so those will get upgraded very soon.
love mine. Wouldn't trade for any other. Had mine for over one full year and had a ton of fun with 'slick'. I have owned 5 really nice bikes all jap, but now my Harley SGS seems to have beat them all out JMO!
Then I changed the seat, turns out the bars are fine.
how tall are you though? i'm 6'2" and have to have the tall boy seat just to get my legs to fit, but that makes me lean forward to reach the bars. my back and neck have been killing me ever since i bought the bike. now, don't get me wrong, i know it's not the bike's fault, it's just because i'm tall. so, i just have to fix the little things to get the comfort perfect.
I had a 07 CVO Ultra with a boatload of cash invested trying to fix what I considered it's shortcomings. Loved the bikes look and at 62 figured it was my last bike.
Last August I heard about the new Rushmore's. As a 25 year and 12 bike Harley owner I have always dreamed of a water cooled touring Harley. The shear number of upgrades made we desire a test ride. My dealer had their first new Limited and offered to let me ride it.....well you know the story, this bike was the bike I always dreamed about. I immediately traded in my 07 CVO figuring it's value would start dropping quickly as riders discover the Rushmore improvement. Best decision I have made. Love my Daytona Blue pearl Limited.
i have had mine since early August..and LOVE it...and i thought the haters were crazy...until this weekend,
we usually park our cars & spend the whole weekend on bike, a friend had a Condo rented down on Edisto Beach, and a buddy wanted to ride....so we put about 200 miles on it saturday
it drove me NUTZ....the weatherband CAME ON EVERYTIME we stopped....for crying out loud...good grief....every time you turn the bike on to let the radio boot up & normal up, theres this huge HISSING SOUND....and everyone is looking at you like WHAT....
and you realize it's not a tire losing air...it's the WB came on with no signal, just static.
i had it on FM, then on the $12 media stick, then on my cell phone, it still came on to WB with no signal.........arrrrrrrrgggggg
and OMG the rear air shocks...what a hateful joke the MOCO continues to play on us, mine must be leaking down. I had it in for the most recent recall, and forgot to tell them to replace the air lines.
so the ole lady got 200 miles of concrete expansion joints on her back side. she told me the next day she was MISERABLE over all the bumps.
i hate the air shocks, they are definitely the "worst" part of the bike, because the MOCO can fix the recalls, you can pull the fuse for the radio....but you gotta pony up some $$ for better shocks.
a buddy wanted to borrow it to ride Sunday, and i was going to pull the fuse for the radio, that's how annoying it was on Saturday.
I hope you went into the Infotainment system and turned off the "Alerts" for your WB. If you didn't then you're welcome but if you did that already then I apologize from mentioning the obvious.

I'm 6-2 with 34 inseam and I felt too close to the tank also. I bought a hammock and it was a lot better, felt it moved me back. Then I ran across a deal for a brand new 2014 CVO hammock seat and this thing is the bomb. It sits me back and up a little and The bars don't hurt my shoulders at all. Very happy now!!

no, I will walk out there & do that now. been busy with Dr's & college
its never been this bad before, but this was down on the coast.
also, my "mail slot" has a "runny nose"
after i dry one side, i turn the wheel to get the inside of the other side of the fairing, and the mail slot drips again.
then when i ride it, it leaks again, makes a big run down the fairing.
