I went ahead and ordered a set, but the dealer said there is something going on with the part number like they are going to be discontinued or replaced but there is no new number yet. Are there failure issues with the current version that they need to be upgraded or are they just not selling enough?

Don't believe everything the dealer tells you.

195 at my dealer and 70 to install. They have a 20/20 winter discount going on parts and labor.

I posted the "possibility" of a supply issue just incase someone was going to buy them it "might" be possible in the future they won't be available. Although that is unlikely both the parts manager and the service writer noticed the odd issue with the part number.

Anyone have a pic that is not so close up? You know pull back a little and get a view of the left and right together?

Don't ride much at night but with the clock change I was out last week and could have used the lighted controls. Anyone that had the dealer install, is one hour labor the consensus? An extra hundred or so to have them installed is not unreasonable, especially with the mention of tight space and running the wires a certain way. Thanks...and especially thanks for those pictures, that sold me!

Had mine dealer installed when I had the bars and grips changed out at time of bike purchase. Major improvement imho. Well worth the money spent. I look at the labor paid as low cost insurance plus, this way they are covered under the full warranty.

Here's a few pics of mine, a little further back than the pics above for another perspective...

With garage lights on, normal lighting with flash...

Same side (right), garage lights off, no flash..

Left side, garage lights off, no flash. See the TPMS mounted near for perspective...

A fairly easy job, if you've ever worked on handlebar switches at all. Sure, the wires have to be routed correctly, and they are wrapped and pre-bent for proper routing. They also have little snap connectors that only go in one way, so it would be somewhat difficult to screw up the install if you pay attention.

The blue tape that is visible in one shot is for referencing witness marks. I tape the bar and the clamps for the levers, making a pencil mark on each piece that match up. That way, you just have to line up the marks when re-installing the lever clamps, and your mirrors and levers are exactly where they were before you started.

All the best,

Shane
