Lighted hand controls

Anyone installed the Lighted Hand Control Switches-71500248 -
The instructions say you really need the service manual to install
Do you need to flash the System?

I had the dealer do them only because at the time it was easier for me. You do not need to flash anything but the manual really tells you the proper way to remove the switchpacks and levers (I'm assuming the included instructions don't give you any real details on it.)

The instructions references the manual and says a dealer should install, i dont have the manual so i cant tell what i am missing here
It looks simple enough as the switches come with rubberband holding them together

I have them - had the dealer install them. Once you have them, you will enjoy them.

I just installed them on my SGS. It's a simple remove and replace operation. Just pay attention to the directions regarding wire routing within the switch and housing to avoid pinching.

I have them - I installed them. I have the service manual (and suggest that anyone buy their respective manual for their bike). You do not need the service manual to install.
