Let me start by saying I like Harley Davidson's in fact I have two of them
I was looking at the limited low the other day.
I don't understand the $900.00 higher cost for a lower bike with less options RE: no heated handgrips.,
Can someone kindly explain
Did you look at the specs ? Better front end and premium rear suspension to start with. Different jiffy stand. Seat. Handlebars. Just to name some of the differences.
Because they can. And i'm not being a smartass, i'm being honest. Different suspension that's setup for these 2 models, thinner primary cover, different seat. HD doesn't give you anything for free
I don't think it cost anymore to put a reach seat on than a standard and don't really care for the reach. Handle bars are handle bars as are primary covers, but the narrower one is a nice touch for those of us that are inseam challenged.
So your looking at a little less than $1300 in suspension and clutch upgrades, and of course it doesn't cost MoCo that much but it does us. The suspension upgrade is worth it to me, it's something I would do to a standard if the Low were not offered.

Forgot about the primary cover. Good catch. New style folding passenger pegs too.
I am suprised that I dont hear more criticism of the Low and its lean angle of 27...Compared to the standard which is 31. Seems like a negative of the Low to me, not to mention my heated grips are the Bees Knees.

The low wasn't designed for canyon carving. In truth, I don't believe the Mo Co had that idea in mind as regards the FLH line. There are way better bikes designed with that in mind.
Great bike if you have to have because off the Higth issued
Test road one for 30 miles did not like the suspension
Like my air ride better
But it will bring some people to full touring model
The need the lower bike
