Default Aux Power Switch - Accessory

http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...11-71400106--1

Has anyone installed it? It looks like by the directions that you have two switches, one with a relay for >2 amps and one with open wires for <2 amps. It also says that it has battery and accessory power. A couple questions:

Can it be set up so that one or both of the switches are connected to always hot or only accessory? If not, which one goes to what?
For the 4 pin Duetch connector, what connector do I need so that I can use the connector and not cut the existing connector off?

The plan: I am going to add LED accent lighting to the bike. I'd like to use one of these switches for the on/off. However, I do want the LED to always have power so that I can leave them on and turn the bike off and lock it up.

What your looking to do with this is not going to work, these are switched Accessory/Ignition only.. In the directions switch two is operating the three wire connections, that power comes right from the switch. Switch three is operating the relay in the harness for the 4 pin duetch connector. the power is from the battery for Deutch connector but you you need the ignition on to activate relay. Depending on what bike you have, you may need the more expensive one, part number 71400105. Do you have Aux lights already on the bike?

Yes, I have a 15 CVO limited.

I wonder if it is possible to just scrap the wire harness and run directly from the back of the switch to a relay. I would assume that I can dike the harness and tap in to the switch this way.

I doubt I need a relay but haven't figured up the current draw yet as I have not defined just how many or which LEDs I plan to install.

The switches are wired back to the Aux Connector under the left side cover of the bike. Here is what I wrote up some time ago when doing my SGS.. I now have the same set-up on my CVO
