I was thinking since the Twin Cooled motors are referred to as "Wet Heads" that the air cooled motors should be referred to as "Air Heads". Sounds better and quicker to type then air cooled or dry heads. Anyone with me?
vrod guys have been calling traditionalist "airheads" since at least 2005 (when i purchased my vrod, still the best engine harley makes by a large margin).
I do enjoy my road glide special, i kinda like that it's just air-cooled and goes into melt down mode if it's above freezing outside. part of the charm. haha
Since "air head" has an alternate meaning I prefer "dry head" when needed to distinguish without insult. Just my preference. But I'm curious as to why you think it's quicker to type "air" than "dry".

"Airhead" has always referred to BMW in my mind. If someone told me they had an airhead, I'd assume they had a bimmer with saggy t!ts. Nothing more, nothing less.

Let me see if I have this straight. If I have Twin Cooled it is referred to as Wet Head. If I have an air cooled from the beginning of Harley's you are an Air Head. Bet you get some push back on that!
I thought "wet-heads" are now referred to as "puddles" of course I could be wrong.
"Puddles" was true through November 2013. Once the filler neck was updated the vast majority stopped having issues. Mine has been water tight for 11 months, love the bike.
I bring this up because people still think the water heads still have issues. Yesterday a buddy and I stopped at our Indian dealership, first thing they hit me with was the leak issue, same thing happened at a custom bagger store. It's like they love getting in a dig....sorry for the rant.
