Hello everyone...my first post after lurking here for several weeks. Brought home a 2015 Road Glide Special (Amber Whiskey) on Nov 1st, but a business trip precluded me from racking up any significant mileage since then and now winter has arrived in southeast Michigan.
A little bit about me...58 years old....36 years with DoD, including 11 years military (Army), going on 37 now. Been riding since 2000. Previous Harley's were a 2001 Dyna Glide, 2003 Road King Classic, 2008 and 2011 Street Glides...I don't let them get too ripe before moving on to others I'd like to ride. Other bike in the garage is a 2014 Kawasaki Ninja 1000. Previous sport bikes were a 2004 Honda VFR 800 and 2010 Kawasaki Concours.
Spent 3 weeks in Sep on a 6500 mile solo trip out west on my Street Glide...riding from Michigan out to Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Arizona, Utah and Colorado...visited 5 national parks during the trip. Sat on the new Road Glide during a stop in Salt Lake City and got hooked. Mulled it over for a week or so after I got home and went for it.
great color, congrats on the new ride. youre gonna love the technology in the radio and the power is pretty impressive for a stock bike as well. enjoy it. :::::: love the ninja in the garage to,,,,,, my kinda taste. pAuL
