Default rushmore windshield , how 2?

Does the '14 and up windshield come off with only the three screws loosened? I loosened but windshield did not come up, stuck on the middle screw. Is there a sleeve or anything that needs to come out of the middle screw?

Will the windshield gasket become out of place is screws are fully removed?

Loosen the 4 screws on the other side of the fairing and the windshield will come off.

On a new bike, the windshield can get stuck to the foam gasket inside the fairing halfs. Remove the three screws all the way. On the center screw, sometimes you have to push from the inside a little while pulling up.

If this doesnt work, loosen the top two inner fairing screws & pry apart the fairing a little to get the shield out.

You ONLY need to remove the 2 outer windshield screws and loosen the middle one. You can take out the middle (longer one) with no issues.

The windshield has a slot at all 3 locations and where it sits, it has an enlarged hole that fits over a shoulder on the fairing. Standing at the front of the bike, toward the fairing, you can gently pull the windshield back towards you to release it from the shoulders and lift straight up.
There is no need to loosen or remove ANY screws from the back of the fairing.
I change mine out all the time, piece of cake

thanks guys
removed top three screws, got OE off, then struggled a bit to get the new one on. Loosened the top two inner screws, slid right in.
