I'm getting ready to add V&H Power Duals, 450's, and new air cleaner on my new 15 RGS so I know I need to do something to manage all this. I won't do SE performance tuner because of the warranty issue. I have looked at the SE Street tuner but its limited as the adjustability, after market stuff leaves me with concerns, like what if it starts having issues, the dealer is trying to steer me towards a one time down load, which is what I ran for the last 10yrs on my 04 RK and was happy with, what's you opinion on this would you do the down load as I don't plan on playing with the motor for at least a couple years.
To me, a download is a waste of money. I went with a Powervision from Fuelmoto so I could make future changes and take advantage of their lifetime free maps to accomodate those changes. Plus, I can autotune with it. For a couple of hundred more, you might as well get something that will give you the flexibility and adjustability.
All of the tuners carry the exact same warranty concerns. It makes since that if HD was going to over look a tuner being on the bike it's going to be their SEPST or street tuner. I bet there is million bikes out there that have a tuner on them. Most dealers will not care that there is a tuner on the bike. Now if you blow the motor up because you tuned it to lean then they are not going to warranty the bike. The street tuner and download are limited and will still try to meet EPA standards. You just have to bit the bullet and get a real tuner to go with that stage one hardware. The bike will run cooler and stronger all around!

If in fact you are concerned with warranty issue's, you should just stick with the dealer down load.
Anything intended for race use only, will void the factory warranty.
If you ran this down load on your RK and was happy, I think you would be really happy with the dealer down load along with the new engine package on the new bike's.

Between the EPA requirements and dealers that are sticklers on warranty, there really is no good solution.
Here's an overview of the popular options with pro's and con's on each-

I have a 15 RGS and used the download. There are no complaints by me about the download. The bike is running well.
