Have been extremely busy so last month I dropped off the bike for the 5k and clutch recall. Have not had a minute to ride it, Went to move it yesterday and have absolutely no front brakes.
I had to go out of town and just got back tonight. Will have to call the dealer and have them pick it up. This is scary. No leaks, front brake res is full. Lever comes all the way back to the grip and absolutely nothing
On edit, after the 5k I only put on about 15 miles
Pumped repeatedly, nothing, does not improve at all. This is more then air, this is a failure. This kind of loss of brakes, in my automotive experience, if caused by air in the lines, would show some improvement with pumping or evidence of leakage. I am getting nothing. Almost sounds like the problem the early clutches were having
Front and rear are independent, and separate reservoirs.
ABS Linked brakes are connected. Wasn't that a reason for the previous recall? Which I had done by the dealer already
I will spend a few minutes today to see if I can get anything out of the rears. I had no time on Saturday but the pedal had gone all the way to the bottom.
As for tires, has absolutely nothing to do with completely losing your brakes.
The front & rear brake systems are connected electronically but each system has it's own master cylinder and fluid. Check your rear brake system to see if that is still working. Also the recall for the brakes had to do with a possible pinch or damage to the abs lines as they ran under the gas tank. Those lines where for the front brake system.
