Default 12 inch Bars on 14/15 Road King Anyone??

Road Kings now come with the taller Heritage Style bars on them since '14. I know folks have put 12 inch bars on fairing models without changing lines and cables. I checked my parts manual and the Road Kings have a different part number than the fairing bikes for the upper brake line and have a cable clutch not the hydraulic one.
Anyone put 12 inch bars on these new Kings that can tell me if those stock lines and cables were able to be used? Not worried about wire extensions, those are a piece of cake.

I put 12.5" (wild1 502) they called for 4 over clutch cable and brake line (non abs) I went 6 over in case I ever want to go 14" , but I don't think that will happen as I LOVE my 502 s

The 2014 bikes come with Heritage style bars that are taller than the bars up to 2013. My 2013 road king bars were lower for sure. HMRHD doesn't mention what year his Road King is. I will be getting my WO502s today. I did buy the 4" wire extensions already but I'm thinkin I may get by with the stock clutch and upper brake lines. I measured the Heritage style bars and they appear to have about a 11 inch rise but the wrist angle is odd.

Will do, held the bars up to the bike, clutch should be fine. I may be able to just reroute the brake line a bit. We shall see, I'll probably do this early next week

I put 502's on my RK, the clutch was at the limit, I rode it that way a few days and then put a 6" cable on that fits perfect. My brake line did not look like it had any slack so I just replaced it during the swap and bled the line backwards thru the front caliper with a syringe.

Sorry about that, my RK is a "14 , I don't think there was any way my clutch cable and brake line would have fit, I had the same setup on my 03 RK and amazingly didn't change any cables or wires

I did 13" z bars on my 14 street glide an no issues with length any where. I just did 12" bars with 90 turn basically and again had no issues on my 15' road glide. The road probably pretty similar to the king length wise anyway.

I also have seen on ebay that you can get all sorts of extensions for the new "can bus" wiring that are plug and play and are next to nothing cheap

I already have the wire extensions, as for the clutch and brake, I checked my parts manual and there is a different part number for the Road King clutch than the other touring models, but I think the upper brake line had the same number. I have a vacuum brake bleeder, used it on my '14 FatBoy when I put the bars on last month. Works good but since I have ABS on both, it's better to have the dealer put the digital tech on it to make sure the ABS is working properly. My ABS light flashed at start up then went out after taking off like it should but I played it safe and had them put the tech on it and run the procedure.
