Thanks so much for the help, i was able to get the throttle side and control wires installed internally together using your method of disconnecting at the controller. It was a breeze going that direction. Can't believe how much time i wasted trying to go the other way lol.... today i have just a few more parts to put on then it will be all back together. I have already started it and tested the throttle and switches, everything seems to be working. still my only concern is the hoses seem a bit tighter than i would like. I need to angle the L brackets from the reservoirs down closer to the bars so they don't touch the inner faring. I think that should loosen them up enough to feel more confident that I don't have them stretched too much.

I am about to tackle this project on my 14 SGS with Monkey Bars as well. I am confused as to what you are unplugging from the hand controls. Mostly I'm sure because I have not yet tore my bike down. I'm a visual learner, so can someone please post a picture of what you're talking about and a picture of what you did with the brake and clutch cables to free them up? Thanks for any help and thanks for the tip of feeding bottom to top. I would have never thought of that.

i didnt take any pictures but the controller has 2 small white plugs (connectors) that connects the switch cable into the houseing making it much easier to remove from the throttle side of the handle bars. That way you feed from the bottom at the same time both cables, one to the controller and other to the throttle. that made it really simple. The brake and clutch lines have 3 or so zipties that are easy to find that will need to be clipped to free up some line making it easier to reach to the top of the bars. There is also a plastic holder on the fork that has the cables going through it, i had to pull one of the lines out of that holder to allow it to reach. Once you follow the clutch and brake lines down you will easily see where these are.

Well I did my bars, now I have no throttle and no fuel gauge. I didn't extend the throttle by wire cable and I'm lost on the fuel level gauge. Heck I'm lost on both honestly.

Any luck getting this figured out? i can only guess something came loose, you may have to retrace your steps and do it again. Total pain I know, the throttle could be as basic as the grip not inserted all the way. You would need to make sure the gears in the grip engage with the gears/ribs on the throttle assembly otherwise the grip would just twist without the throttle sensor.

I took the bars off again to find out the green connector came arpart as I was pulling the wires. Put it all back together and now there is no issue, as for the fuel guage I was just not allowing enough time for it to register. So all of it was my mistake.
