You're all making a huge deal out of nothing. I don't know why Joe said what he said but he has been a super guy to deal with in every way. I'm sure it didn't take me more than 5 minutes to make the mod, and you can look at the bike as close as you like and you'll never be able to tell any trimming was done. It was a total non-issue.

Btw, I have them on my SGS, and no, the fairings aren't different. Joe was great To work with and because we want thicker, beefier bars, that is the trade-off. But once installed, I've not been able to tell where the cut was.

I had them on my SGS, had to remove A LOT of the upper fairing to get it to sit down over my bars. I emailed joe about it, along with telling him mine had the bar halves welded so close together on the 1" section that I had to bevel the outside corners of the clamps to clear the welds so the bars would sit in properly, he completely ignored me. Another member here sent his bars back because the welds were so bad. Would not buy another set. I've got 16" prime apes now and like them far better than the vindiktas.

I've had vindikta bars on three bikes, and Joe has always been good to work with. I currently have them on my street glide special.

It's a big deal because first of all I bought these Bars only expecting to trim 1/8" of the lower fairing cover over the igniton. Then I get the bars and notice I will have to trim the upper fairing to sit over top of the bars correctly. When I tell Joe this im told that this is NOT NEEDED and I must have a defective set of bars. He said I can send them back for another set which I did and that pair is the same. Again since according to him this isn't right I'm returning them again...... So what your telling me is don't listen to the manufacturer of these bars and just start modding my fairing, which I'm specifically told NOT to do.

Mine fit perfectly and only a small amount of trimming necessary on the lower cover.

And it's comments like this that having me thinking wtf??? Why would my special be any different? What brand riser bushings did you use? Are mine what's making my bars not fit cause that would be the only differences between our bikes.

This is where my issue is this slot just isn't big enough to fit over the bar enough to bolt down the fairing
