Default Purchase date?

Ok I have been told by my Dealer that I was possibly the very first Rushmore sale in not only my city but my state (Washington) and possibly the country. Not sure how to determine that. I did get a call shortly after buying my bike from HD corporate office in Milwaukee. I did purchase my 2014 Ultra Limited on release day of August 20 2013 and for weeks didn't see any on the roads and quite often had people asking about the bike. There was another at my dealer that was technically ordered before mine but he added thousands in extras somehow and that put his delivery date about 2 weeks after release date. I rode home on mine before noon pacific time on August 20th. Does anyone else want to put their purchase date? Anyone somehow earlier than that?

I was my dealers first buyer. ( Folsom, CA. ). The second to take delivery because they had to dealer trade for my color. Did paperwork in the last week of August 2013. Took delivery of my Daytona Blue Limited September 1st.

Unless you want to call every Harley dealer in Washington and asked them what date their first sale was on the Rushmore.

I don't think you will get enough responses on the forum from riders of your home state, not to mention the people who have purchased and are not forum members.

I saw a post on another forum that a guy in Florida (I think) was the very first in the country for a Rushmore. The dealer opened the doors at midnight and delivered it at 12:28am. It was a SG or SGS, can't remember. I think he said he already had worked out the financial terms with his bank and dealer ahead of time. There was a video of it on Youtube.

I see if I can find it....

Well you have me beat. I purchased my 2014 Limited on August 24th 2013 in NJ.

The wife and I were out for a ride on my 2002 Fat Boy. I had been staring at the Charcoal and Black Limited all week online. I said, "I want to stop at the Harley dealer and just look at the 2014's".

Well... We pull up and there is a Charcoal and Black Limited sitting right out front. A test drive and two hours later, I was signing papers.

This is true. I am just curious is all. And I know for a fact that there were 5 dealers in Wa state that didn't even have a TK a week after release as I had salesmen meeting me in the parking lot when I pulled in. I travelled across the state the first weekend I had the bike and I typically stop at dealerships if for nothing else a free cup of coffee.

Very true. I never experienced the issues that the recalls were done for but I did have to put up with it. The most annoying was the Do not ride recall as I was without the bike for a week. I actually got the call from my dealer while I was on a ride. But being first at my dealer was nice as they have tried to get my recalls done first as well.
