I just picked up a UClear HBC100 setup from Cycle Gear for less than $100. Incoming calls are crystal clear at 70mph. Wife said I was crystal clear on her end also. Best thing about this setup is that there is no boom/wire for the microphone, the mike is built into the speaker. Music from my Iphone is there, not audiophile quality by any means, but its there. Still trying to get my gps prompts to be a bit louder....

I am sure there is a unit out there that can do that.... maybe not the HD BOOM system, but something will.
How about pairing one phone and forward the calls from the other phone to the paired phone. Then use anything that you want and not limit yourself to any one system.

I have tried all kinds of headsets and its one thing for them to work in the garage while testing but another to get them to work with no issues on the road.

Without getting to much into it I found that SENA makes the most relieable gear for wireless. I do not like to be tethered to the bike nor my passenger.

I would recommend the SENA Bluetooth SMH10 duel pack (for two helmets)
http://www.sena.com/product/intercoms/smh10/

I have ridden with them now for a few month and they work the best of anything I have used. Phone, intercom. music, all no problem. The Bluetooth units easily snap off the helmet and can be fully charged in your tour pack in 2 hours. I have gone over 12 hours of "on time" with a charge.

That.

Cheryl and I just added these to our touring repertoire. I believe you can pair them to 2 phones. I know you can pair to an Ipod and phone. The sound quality is okay for music and great for talking. We still have to fiddle with the vox because Cheryl's mic picks up wind noise (because the passenger gets a lot more than we do) and the Sena thinks she is talking. The music will cut out in that instance. You can turn the vox off and just listen to music and toggle the helmet to talk if you want. I think if I put a better wind sock on her mic it will cure that problem.

The other consideration is your helmet. If you have a "loud" helmet, the volume levels of the Sena (music-wise) might be a little low. I have a Shoei Qwest and it's just okay - not nearly as good as I had hoped.

So for talking I give the Sena an 8. Music a 5. I would rate the Harley intercom (which we used on our 11 Ultra) about the same FYI.

I have been looking at bluetooth for my Shoei Neotec helmet for phone, music and GPS. (GPS with my Garmin 590)
One that I found to link to two phones (and have great reviews) is the SHO-1 from Cardo and Shoei. http://www.cardosystems.com/motorcycles/cardo-sho-1
Review from webBikeworld : http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcyc...tercom-review/

Now the tricky part, not released in North America with the sue happy lawyers here. Shoei rep said they don't want to get sued from someone taking a shone call and getting killed in an accident.

So I have chatted with some folks here and other forums and they get it from Europe. Motardinn.com was the most used for ordering.

Available in North America is the Cardo G9x which will also connect to two phones.

But don't like the module being on the side of the helmet (wind noise) and not having the separate battery so a charged one can be swapped out.

Also looked at the INTERPHONE F5MC
Sena has some interesting ones also. The 10U in particular...

I would check webBikeWorld and Revzilla for their reviews.

Now which one to pick... Im leaning towards the SHO-1

The wife and I have used the same SENA set for 4 years and they still last 7-8 hours of talk time and are used at least twice a week. One reason my new bike does not have a fairing is that the linked audio sounds better at 75+ mph then any of the bike radios I have ever used (I do use a full face helmet). When answering the phone, people are always surprised when I tell them I am on the bike.

In the past I have tried the tethered set-up, but I did not care for having the cord attached to the helmet.

If I add the SM10 unit to the SMH10, does it use all of the features of the Harley BOOM, in addition to the bluetooth capabilities???

I'm thinking a dual SMH10 kit, and a SHOEI GT-Air, or possibly a SHOEI RF 1200.... but don't know if I need/want what the SM10 has to offer.

....or maybe I just need to get HD's "half helmet" headset and a good stocking cap to hold it on with... be a lot cheaper, since I usually don't wear a helmet anyways

I don't believe any of the bluetooth headsets will pair with our bikes. I know there's a thread about a work around. But honestly, I don't care because when I pair to the phone, the ipod, and Cheryl, I don't need anything from the bike itself. I can live without turn by turn directions from the bike's gps as well as caller id.

SafetyMan, I am where you are and have tried a couple things. First, I have a couple SMH10s. The option using the second one works good so long as you do not have anyone else that wants to intercom with you. So long as you are connected to the SMH in your saddle bag, you cannot have intercom calls with anyone else.

Here is something that I have been looking at and seems to be a very viable option. I actually have the cable on order and should be at my local dealer on Tuesday or Wednesday.

I use the Harley half helmet set, when I wear a helmet and it works very well. Had several conversations at highway speeds (75+) and the person on the other end couldn't tell I was on my bike. Can't speak to the Bluetooth ear pieces, never used one.
