I have hooked up my Droid Turbo via Bluetooth and use the Spotify application to listen to music that has been saved to my device. You can go forward or back to next or last song and the title of the song is displayed on the screen. Recently, the screen locked up on a title and I can't seem to clear it. The forward/reverse still works for the music, but my screen no longer displays the current song. Does anyone know how to clear this so it displays correctly?
I use spotify but it's a real pita on the bike so I kinda stopped. I know what your talking about though and it's happened to me with my iPhone and spotify on the bike. Never seemed permanent but definately experienced it more than once.
Finally found a bike on the showroom floor near me that used the fairing location for the headset port. This is where I mounted my AKE Bluetooth device.

I doubt if this is of any help with the side tone issues but was browsing through the Sena SMH10R manual and came across this under the configuration settings... As you said in an earlier comment it's supposed to be off by default but didn't know if a software/firmware bug might allow just the opposite... Finally received my AKE and got it installed... Am going to attempt pairing this afternoon...
Got the AKE installed over the weekend... CAUTION!!! If installing in the dash panel opposite the "Juke Box" be sure to allow for the existing steel brackets behind the panel BEFORE DRILLING!!! Don't ask me how I discovered this worthy tidbit of info...
I couldn't get the Sena SMH10R to pair right off... After trying several different times I was finally able to get it to pair by using the multi-point pairing option in the configuration menu... It connects and everything seems to work aside from a couple of issues, one I consider major... The connection when making calls seems "noisy" compared to the wired connection I'm accustomed to... The biggest issue I've discovered much to my dismay is the "Sidetone" addressed previously within this thread... To put it bluntly the "Sidetone" is horrid and enough to make me consider going back to the wired headset... I'll keep playing around with the setup in hopes myself or someone else discovers a solution...
AKE thinks Sena is a phone. Delete all pairing on Sena and pair as a phone not muli pairing. Then play with volume. Find sweet spot. Less Sena and more Harley. Should pair right away.
Thanks... My mistake... It paired right away the first time but when the prompt said "phone" I mistakenly interpreted it as meaning it had paired with my iPhone 6... Cleared both units and it paired immediately just as you said it would... Now to play around with the volumes and see if I can reduce the sidetone some... Also no static or interference whatsoever... Just the annoying sidetone... Thanks again for the info sir!!!

I believe the 10R has adjustable sidetone. Check it's manual.
I'm thinking of going this route as well. Quick question with the built in AKE. Does it use a molex connector or does it jack into the 7 pin harley connection?
If it goes into the 7 pin I will need to add that for my SGS. Trying to get a "winter parts list" together for this mod.

I don't think you'll find a cure for the sidetone. It's there bc the motorcycle is doing it not the headset. It may be less noticeable with a wired connection but still there. I don't talk on the phone long enough to make it an issue but would love for Harley to give us the option to dial it down or disable it.
If your streetglide doesn't have a headset port already then your going to need one of those 7-pin cables. Part # 69200865
Just as advised above the 7 pin connection... I used the same cable as above to install mine in the inner fairing...
In respect to sidetone and the SMH10R there's no option that I can find to adjust... Simply enable/disable in the configuration menu... And I have to agree with Terry... I believe the sidetone source is a bike issue and not a headset issue... I tried it both ways with the headset with no success...
