Default Boom Audio I or II WTH? Part numbers?

So I was on the web site looking at part numbers. I see a Boom Audio stage 1 all in one. Then I see pieces parts for Stage 2 .
Is there a complete stage 2 kit or do you have to buy a stage 1 and then add to it?
How much for a stage 2 complete?

Worth it or not. From what I have read, I am thinking not.

Thanks

There is no all in one kit for the Boom Stage II Audio. It requires one amp for every two speakers. The fairing amp powers the fairing speakers, the tourpack amp powers the tourpak speakers, and the left saddlebag amp powers the speaker lids.

It's hard to say whether or not it is worth it. The system sounds good but has had issues since it was released. I had it for a few weeks early on, but had it removed because it kept cutting out. Harley just released a flash last week for the amplifiers to address that problem. I had lots of conversations with others regarding their Stage II systems, and several had dealt with problems similar to mine as well as blown speakers.

If I was you, I'd hold off for 6 months or so to see how the dust settles. Harley may have finally fixed the software issues with their system and it will likely be a good option. It's not cheap, but nothing with the Harley name it

Thank you for the explanation, so they can't have an all in one kit because some might need 2, 4, or 6 speakers. That makes sense, why would I want upgraded speakers just to have my wife sit on them...
then again....

I just had the BOOM Stage 1 installed - 4 speakers and the 300 watt Amp. VERY happy to say the least. I was going to go with the BOOM Stage 2, but believe it or not, my Dealer convinced me they were having "issues", and recommended I stay with the BOOM Stage 1. IMO, it sounds phenomenal to say the least!

For the money you might want to consider a Biketronics package. The 4180 can power 8 speakers.
Lifetime warranty hard to beat.

I am having "stage 2" installed now on my new 2015 Road Glide. Bought the amp and the speakers for the front only. Can you give me any more info on this amp flash upgrade? I will alert the dealer..

Hope mine goes well. I did not know of any troubles... ugh.

It was an update to the DTII for the software flashing of the Stage II system, and it was released to the dealers on 5-15-15, all they had to do was let their DTII install the new program.

Are you speaking of the 1.19.0 update or something different? What does DTII stand for? Thanks

I believe it stands for Digital Technician. This is not the same as the DIY Boom flashes. This is a dealership only flash using their propietary laptop to reflash the bikes BCM Body Control Module.
