I recently bought a pair of Chisel wheels (complete) from another member. I decided to go all out and get polished rotors, chrome bells and lowers, and flush axle. Here is the front wheel. Will add more pics when done.
I have to take apart the fork tubes and I am putting in a premium lower cartridge kit with the chrome lower legs. So I hope to have it done in the next day or two. I got the axle from ebay . It is from Advantage Cycle. I havn't tried it yet so hope it fits. Says it fits 09 - 15
I got the right side fork done last night and half of the left put together. I didn't have the right tool to compress the spring for the cartridge. The right side, I took my floor jack and jacked up the fork under my extended bench vice, and was able to compress it to the cap, then spin the fork tube until the threads caught. I just got a call from the dealer that they got the other fork finished. Took half hour. so g/f is picking that up. Got free tickets to the Toledo Mud Hens game tonight so I will have to work on getting the wheel on tomorrow while the g/f is at work. At least it didn't cost me $200 this time. Last time I did this I didn't even have a bench or a vice. So I pulled the forks and took the chrome lowers and the lowering kit to the dealer and let them put it all together. More later.
