To Rushmore on a Rushmore
Bike ran like a champ in all weather, including cold pouring rain, sustained high winds and 100 degree heat. I can't say enough good things about my 2014 Limited!
Ran into a couple of small issues along the way:
1. My right saddlebag light would go out until I wiggled the wires. Eventually that quit acting up on its own.
2. The upper motor mount started squeaking like mad after riding in heavy rain. A little WD-40 took care of that.
3. The XM module would disappear briefly then re-appear. When it disappeared my radio would switch over to AM. Then I would go to select XM but would have to wait for it to be available again. This is the only unresolved issue at this time. I had rode in heavy rain several days before it started but it had days of time to dry before it started acting up. I am having the 40K service performed this week so that will be on the check list.
Overall an awesome trip on an equally awesome bike!
Here are a few images from the trip.
This is the Grand Tetons as seen entering Yellowstone, NP from the south entrance (closest to Jackson Hole).
At Yellowstone West Thumb Geyser Basin. This one is called 'black pool'. The ranger told us that prior to the early 90's, the pool was black in color, hence the name.
From Beartooth Highway. I think I was just west of the pass. I rode it east to west from Red Lodge, MT to Chief Joseph Highway.
Looking back at Beartooth from Chief Joseph Highway.
Needles Highway in Custer State Park, SD. A must see!!!
Badlands National Park. Very cool place! Forgot to take a pic of the bikes without my friend on his bike, lol.

We did it last year, hellofa trip, loved it, reminisce daly. The bike had 1400 miles when we left, only issue was the radio and everybody knows that. I was amazed how the bike ran day after day no matter what elevation it just hammered the miles out with ease. I've never had a bike that I could not master or grow tired of, hill I'm still amazzed. Rushmore and the black hills were great.

We did Sturgis last year. Put a lot of miles on the FLHTK, never had a problem. 12 of us went 10 days before the official start of Sturgis, and got to enjoy all the sites, bars and vendors without the 300% price increase during Sturgis.
