headset jacks
the wife and i were on our way from chicago to door county wisconsin this past weekend. stopped for lunch and a tour of the harley museum in milwaukee. when we were getting ready to leave the cover to the rear headset jack came off when she attempted to plug in. the female portion of the jack was pushed into the speaker housing. i stoped at a dealer on the way and the tech told me they have seen several of this issue. there is a special tool that holds the metal ring that screws onto the jack. the rear speaker is removed allowing access to the wiring and receptacle. if we had been tooling down the highway without the headsets it probably would have been lost. tech checked front receptacle and it was tight. might wanna check yours. i have '14 untra classic.
