Before anyone says there is a recall i have already had the recall performed,
what is heappening on cold start while the bike is in gear i start it while holding the clutch all the way in but when the vehicle is cranking over it pulls forward almost enough where it feels like it is lunging and will pull away from me. Has anyone else experienced this
Sometime you may be better leaving it in first gear, on a hill, slope, ferry, sandy area, basically poor footing, whatever and if the ground is not very level and you are standing with the bike it might be advisable not to try and dick around getting it in neutral. As long as you anticipate a slight movement that may be the better course if confronted with this situation. Probably won't even face the movement situation if it is at a rest stop etc. bike will remain warm for quite awhile. If it happens with every start see the dealer.
Mine has never done that since I installed a Baker Attitude Adjuster manual primary chain tensioner in the primary. The auto-adjuster that comes with these bikes is a total POS, IMHO.
I can start my '15 Limited in either neutral or first gear and there's no noticeable difference at all now. I use Redline primary oil too, but I don't know if that makes any difference or not, since I've never used anything else for the past 15 or so years.

While we are on the subject, my 2014 Limited clutch lever has to be let out nearly all the way before I have a friction point. Really.... NEARLY all the way out. If I'm on the road and pull the lever in SLIGHTLY, the clutch disengages. There has to be a unofficial fix to move the friction point at the lever to starting about half way out.
BTW, the recall has been done. Thanks for any help.
