Default VOX Gripe
Just thinking out loud here of how Harley needs to update the Boom system with dual VOX adjustability. With me I like wearing a half helmet with headset. My wife wears a full face. For some reason her mic is sensitive to wind noise so I have to dial down the sensitivity so the wind noise doesn't turn the intercom on. When I dial it down I can no longer speak to her as the half helmet mic will no longer pick up anything short of screaming at the top of my lungs. If I could adjust our intercoms to different sensitivities this problem would be solved.

Just ordered a cover for my mic. Hoping to eliminate that same problem plus where the wind noise kicks it muting my music, He suggested the WD30, may solve your problem also.

Ok so I had to re-read the issue. Couldn't you use the PTT to solve the problem?

I don't know anything about PTT. Is that included on non CB equipped bikes? How would the passenger use it?

Yes, as long as your bike has the intercom system the PTT should work. Yours is located on the right side switches, your wife's will be on the right side speaker pod.

Hmm I will have to check it out. Do you just turn VOX off in the menu and its switched to PTT?

Just turn the VOX all the way down for both of you to use the PTT or adjust it for your wife and you use the PTT.

I get some of that also if my wife's mic is not positioned correctly. It needs to be well up behind the chin bar with the pop shield touching or almost touching her lips. I'm assuming you are using an HD headset.
I also use an open face helmet and she wears a flip front full face helmet.
