Default Which Tuner??

I am putting a package together with Fuel Moto but unsure which Tuner to purchase. Have a 2016 SGS and plan to add header, Stage 1, tuner and at some point new slip ons. I understand the different ones that are available but I guess I am looking for what would work best for my riding. Not a speed demon but want to have the power to move on down the road if I need. The PV looks like it certainly will do the trick but I think it has more features than I will ever need. Advice please.

If you aren't planning to do any more than a stage 1 a PV would definitely be more than you need. It does offer alot of nice features though. I would suggest asking Fuel Moto what they think. Do you prefer a flash tuner which doesn't need to stay hooked to the bike or a piggyback tuner such as a Power Commander which stays on the bike? I would suggest either one of these since Fuel Moto specializes in tuning with Dynojet products.

The PV is nice but has features I will most likely not use. The Power Commander V or FM's micro tuner are most likely the level I will get. I believe both of these do basically the same, air/fuel adjustments. Is there a noticeable difference between the two? Am I missing something? The price difference is about $100.

Man, I posted up so many similar threads. Yesterday, I ordered the PV from Fuel Moto.
I have CFR mufflers, Vance & Hines Power Duals, and SE Air Cleaner. I chose the PV because down the road, I may want to add more. I won't have to keep it attached to the bike (like the Commander V). And, after talking to the guys at Fuel Moto, I like the auto tune feature. Over all, the Power Vision is newer technology. There are alot of guys selling their Commander V and upgrading to the Power Vision. I don't want to have to buy twice. Yes, the Power Vision may have alot of features that you may not use but if they're on the system, you may actually use them. Or at least, this is what I'm telling myself.

Hmm. The PV is certainly the latest and greatest.

If you can afford it get the PV. Pay once cry once.

Are you planning to have the bike tuned? If so, talk to your tuner and see what he uses. if you are going with a map, the power vision is a nice interface and FM sets it up for you. As someone else said pay once for a tuner.

I second the above comment. I always get my bikes Dyno tuned and my tuner far and away prefers the TTS Mastertune. So, when I picked up a new SGS a couple of weeks ago the bike was delivered straight to his shop for a TTS and plenty of other items. I actually haven't even ridden the bike yet. Waiting on the ported heads and cams to be installed. Then into the Dyno!
