Default Copper-based anti-seize compound - HELP!!!

I just took delivery of my bike from the dealer for warranty work. As I was wiping down the bike, I came across what was apparently a little anti-seize compound around the collar that interfaces between the shaft and toe lever of the shifter. Now it's smeared on the black-wrinkle paint of the case and looks like ****. How do I clean thus mess up without spreading it more? Thanks for your help!

Spray brake clean on a sock and blot it, don't wipe it--you'll just smear it more

Thanks, guys. I didn't have any brake clean or acetone available and I had to be somewhere with this being my only ride...so I soaked some isopropyl alcohol on a clean piece of cloth and started blotting and wiping with the motor was stone cold. It took most of it off, but left a hint of copper on the black. I doused the area and almost everything else that's black textured with Pig Snot...and it looks better, but not absolutely perfect. I'll work on it some more when its cold again.

WD40 might work, and it wouldn't hurt the paint, regardless.

Maybe a soft toothbrush to get into those wrinkles?

I read up on the formula and understand that high heat (400+degrees?) will basically "evaporate" the "suspension" material which will then theoretically leave the "powder" (copper, alooMINium lol) behind so it can be removed more easily. I don't know if the affected area will reach 400+degrees, but wiping it with isopropyl and coating it with PigSnot lessened the "copper blemish"...looks more like the after-effects of dried mud not completely washed off...time will tell. Thanks guys!
