You might be on day colors and high contrast which only works in day colors. Change it to automatic colors and that way in the daylight, it'll display whatever colors you choose as long as you take high contrast off of day colors and choose the color you want from the options given. Then at night, it will change to night colors which is orange and brown, I believe. Your problem though is that it's set for day colors.

Most GPS's have an auto or night setting that you can adjust or turn on/off.

I had the same problem. I run daylight colors all the time now. I can see the nav screen much better now at night.

I run daylight colors at night too and manual light levels. I got tired of all the flip-flop in tunnels, lol.

Hmmmm....I didn't realize this was an option! Need to pull out the manual! I'd prefer my daytime colors to stay on at night...

Thanks for the tip!

DAY/NIGHT COLORS MODE

1. Select Home > Setup > Colors
2. Press the multiselect button until the desired color mode is displayed
Day Colors: Screen shows brighter colors
Night Colors: Screen shows darker subdued colors.
Navigation map is also shown in night color scheme. No other
background colors can be selected while in night color mode.
Automatic Colors: Screen automatically adjusts day/night color modes
according to ambient light measured by the sensor in the speedometer.
