Thoughts on welding crossover pipe to header?

Default Thoughts on welding crossover pipe to header?

Anybody have any thoughts on welding the crossover to the left muffler to the 2/1/2 header pipe?

I see no reason for doing that. Explain please? I think you would need some adjustments if you ever need to remove your exhaust & welding would not give you much.

Pretty much for the sake of making sure no leaking at the connection. Just an idea

Why not just use an exhaust sealer?

Exhaust sealer will blow the cat converters if upstream of them???

I wonder if a weld would not be prone to cracking, and then your right back to where you were, an exhaust leak. It took a couple gasket changes by I got mine sealed up.....for now.

What?

There's nothing to seal upstream of the converter, just the exhaust ports which have gaskets.

I assume if anything is loose it would just be spit out when reving the engine just too make sure it's on

it may make it hard to r&r the header to the bike.
