I have a 2014 Ultra Limited that I bought new in April 2014, now showing 17,000 miles. After a ride the other day I noticed moisture inside the OE daymaker headlight after the light was on for a while. When the light cooled down the moisture would dissipate. I rode over to my dealer and showed it to them and they said unless it failed Harley would not warranty it. Anyone had this issue with thiers?
I have not seen or heard of that happening, lucky you. Make a note of the date you took it to the dealer and get any service tickets if they made one as proof you brought this to their attention if it fails after warranty expires.
I noticed the same problem on my '14 limited just two days ago. Never had a problem before, and it seemed to clear up as the bike cooled down. I will have to keep an eye on it now,...
i have this happening now on my 2014 FLHXS, I haven't brought it to the dealership yet, but the Service Manager said that he would do whatever he could. In the car market, if this happens while a vehicle is still under warranty, the light is replaced. Harley should know better than to not warranty this.
Mine has done this since day one, of course it's always fine when I get to the dealer. I don't care if there is moisture, as long as it doesn't affect the electrics of the Daymaker.
The dealer believes it won't. But like mentioned above, I have registered this complaint in case it fails in future

Update
Took bike in yesterday. Service writer (different one from first time) said he called Harley and they told him they would not replace headlamp long as the fog cleared up within two hours of shutting it down. At least its on record now.
