Have sold and shipped a lot of tire /wheel combos.I always cut out a disc shape from a cardboard box the same diameter as the wheel/tire for both sides ,then wrap with shipping clear wrap.I always ship Fed Ex and take it to a Fed Ex distribution place.Price is in the 40-45 dollar range per rim depending if you have a tire on the rim.Last shipped two tires on rims off a 2013 RK and total shipping was 84.00.

GTK - any reason for Fed Ex over Brown

And the reason for the FE distribution is because the package is too big for Kinkos?

Any insurance

Thanks

I shipped my enforcer wheel with tire and rotors from Fed Ex. I re-used a fed ex box that a wheel was mailed to me to ship my wheel. It cost me $45 from Arkansas to Wisconsin. UPS quoted me $99.

I routinely get better pricing with Fed Ex than Brown

They are aggressively working the ground market and it works for all

No issues anything i receive from Fedex, UPS with anything that is heavy is a crap shoot.

In my neck of the woods i always use Fedex.

I used the post office when I shipped a Suzuki marauder engine case to south America a few years back. Cost about 50 bucks and package was 45 lbs. I know it's not rims but just giving another probably not thought about but they were way cheaper then fed ex or brown.

I use UPS for smaller items but as others have said bigger, heavier items are cheaper with FEDX. When I have shipped wheels I go to my dealer and ask if they have any wheel boxes which they typically do.
