Adaptive Fuel Values
Bike started running like complete and total CRAP, but slowly. It took about 2 months for me to notice how poorly she was running, but since I was riding the Wide Glide more for a while, then jumped back onto the Street Glide I was able to notice it FAR more, then started thinking about when it all started.
I have the SE Race tuner (looking into better options currently) and decided to re-load the map and reset the adaptive fuel values.
I did this on Monday and the bike ran even worse. Slow off the line, a few flat spots in various areas, and rough idle from time to time. Turns out HD has two different tunes for "SE high flow intake and SE Exhaust". It is amazing how much difference .03 or .15 can make at a certain RPM and throttle %.
I re-loaded the same tune that I had used back in May and the bike is running like a top now. Better than ever actually.
So, just how much can the Adaptive Fuel Values adapt? If it takes me another 6 months or more to decide on a better exhaust and programer should I just start making it a point to re-load the map?
