John at Freedom I think was the Head Engineer at Clearview Shields until he started Freedom. I've seen their products & the quality is very good. Unless they have changed it, the shields are extra thick, like .160 vs Stock at .125 & they are made from acrylic & not poly-carbonate. Maybe the extra thickness is needed for acrylic to meet certain impact resistance... I don't know. I prefer poly-carbonate.
