Default Lid Covers

Anybody out there use lid covers for your saddle bags. I know they can get beat up and am looking for something that's easy on easy off to put on my 2015 RGS.
Thanks
Lefty

I have had the HD lid covers on my 15 SGS for a year now. I am partial to them for protection, but they are not an easy off/on solution. especially in the heat of the summer, as the glue on the strips that stay attached to the inside of the lids tends to melt a bit and slide around. I just leave my covers attached on a permanent basis. of course the first time you remove them, is when someone will scuff the lid..lol

I have the clear protective film for the lids and the front of the bags. It is very hard to tell its even on there.

I have a problem not thinking they will do more damage then good. If you like the way they look then cool! Otherwise it has to trap moisture and rub just like the front end car "bras" of the 80's.

I have RideTek ($100 +/-) and have been used for about 10 years. Velcro on inside of lid and I think they fit better then those the dealer sells. In the middle of the desert here so moisture is not a problem but haven't seen any scuffing compared to how lazy passengers leave your lids.

I use the Mustang lid covers. Easy on and off. They fit great. Had the Harley ones on a previous bike and I prefer the Mustangs.

No moisture as of yet...as for rubbing, i havent had an issue. They are lined with a fleece like material. Granted, one would be wise to wash & wax prior to initial installation, then follow up as needed in between.

I tend to agree with you. I've seen moisture damage done by the bras on the front end of real nice expensive cars.
Thanks
