Default HD quick detach adjustable passenger back rest

Just wondering if anyone has tried the HD adjustable passenger backrest and if so how much more room it adds compared to the non adjustable. I just ordered a Corbin Dual Tour seat and matching backrest pad that is suppose to be thinner. I really need to move my wife back about 2 to 3 inches on the seat. We had a George Anderson relocater on our ultra tour pack that
set her back 3 inches and it was perfect. I'm just not sure I want a tour pack on this bike and definitely don't want one on it all the time. Thoughts? Hope I like the Corbin $1000 later LOL. It works with the factory trim strips so I can still use the factory seat as a 2 up with my kids and a 1 up trim.

We have the Harley Backrest P/N 52572-09A and the Mounting Kit P/N 52589-09 (see attached). One of the better accessories on my bike IMHO. Once I had it adjusted, which didn't take long at all, I have found no need to change the adjustment. My better half says that she doesn't notice it interfering with her space at all. Then again when she's riding I hardly ever use it as she's a much better back rest, go figure (no pun intended). One other thing; before and after installing the backrest she also says that our Goldwing has much more room than the Harley. Not that the Harley is cramped, just that the Goldwing is more spacious.

Might get more answers about a 2013 model if you post in the Touring Section instead of the Rushmore Section? Unless your sig line is wrong? Says you have a 2013 Ultra, which isn't a Rushmore.

He is asking about the HD adjustable passenger backrest. Yes it will work with a Corbin Duel Touring saddle. I have seen it on a 15 Limited. I think the standard non adjustable will feel right for most passengers, the adjustable one will angle pad a few degrees each way from the standard. One notch each direction from center.

I'm not sure what you consider "one notch from center", but my adjustable rider backrest has a pretty good range forward and back,no notches at all and several holes (5) I believe, for up and down

My apologies. I completely missed the OP, specified passenger.

This is what he is asking and i would like to know as well. It's the adjustable "passenger" backrest. My rushmore is more cramped than my 09 and 10 are for 2 up.

I have the adjustable passenger backrest with the wide (13.5 inch) pad on my RGS. I measured it. From straight 90 degrees it tilts about 3 inches to the rear as measured from the front top of the pad. It tilts about 1.5 inches to the front, but I don't know why anyone would ride tilted towards the front. The wife has ridden 450 mile days with it. It has three holes to allow for adjustability.

Thanks. That was helpful information on it. I am still not sure why we feel a little more cramped on the rushmore than the earlier models. I am thinking bars and seat are at the root of it but the backrest may also help.
